Day 5 Preparation

You have been given a Smart Switch Prototype Board. You will be using it to prototype and test the Smart Switch product.

Tasmota Initialization

1. Connect the board to your computer via USB-C cable.
2. Go to Tasmota Web Installer from Google Chrome or Edge or any browser that supports WebUSB.
3. Select Upload to upload the Tasmota firmware to the board.
4. Select Done to close the Tasmota Web Installer.

Please Note

The USB-C cable you've been given might not be able to provide power to the board. If it fails, please use your own cable, preferrable something you use to charge your phone.

Configuring Tasmota

1. Once you have uploaded the Tasmota firmware, the board will create a new WiFi named: tasmota-<mac-address>.
2. Use your phone or your PC to connect to the Tasmota WiFi.
3. You'll come to a configuration page (http://192.168.4.1/).
